Initiative
Anticipating opportunities and working effectively to create solutions that meet the sector's needs.
Founded in Madinah in 2019 as a bridge between the government, private and non-profit sectors — established to design and deliver community programmes and events, and to develop the industry that produces them.
Madinah has convened people for as long as it has existed. Gatherings, councils and forums are not an imported format here — they are part of how the city has always worked.
What was missing was the profession around them: recognised standards, trained organisers, reliable suppliers, and a body whose job it is to raise all three. Ruwaad was established to be that body.
The events industry is also economic infrastructure. It fills hotels, employs young people, gives local companies a market, and gives the city a reason to be visited outside its established seasons. Treating it seriously is a development decision, not a cultural one.
To deliver sustainable, high-quality community events in cooperation and integration with our partners, in service of the association's objectives.
Anticipating opportunities and working effectively to create solutions that meet the sector's needs.
Delivering events to the highest and most current standards of quality and professionalism.
A commitment to serving the community and to carrying our share of responsibility for sustainable development.
Encouraging individuals and the wider community to take part in the sector and realise their potential.
Pursuing creativity and distinction in developing the sector and achieving the best possible outcomes.
These are the objectives set out in our bylaws, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
